Web Graphics

Graphics can make your Web page more interesting and visually appealing. However,
before you put a graphic on the Web, you must convert it to the correct file
format (i.e., GIF or JPEG) so that it will show up on the Web. These file
formats also reduce the file size of your graphic, resulting in a cleaner,
faster-loading Web page. This site explains when you should use each format
and how to prepare your graphics for the Web
