DWJ Television's clients will be able to participate in the editing of video projects from anywhere they can log onto the Internet. DWJ is able to offer this new service thanks to new VDOLive technology which enables real-time video broadcasts over the Internet. Using VDOLive's broadcast server, DWJ is able to create a direct link from one of its Avid non-linear editing suites to DWJ's website, thereby bringing edit sessions right to clients' desktops. VDOLive is one of the leading products for broadcasting video in real time over the Internet. By taking advantage of "streamed" video, web users no longer need to download a file and wait minutes before even a short video clip is ready to be viewed. According to Cohen, VDOLive is based on technology from VDONet which enables virtually anyone on the web to view real-time video -- a feat not possible before the company's technology was developed. Today VDOLive is being used by hundreds of companies and web sites, including CBS News and PBS.
