Fox News Sunday Debuts April 28

"Fox News Sunday," with host Tony Snow, will air live at 9-10 a.m. ET. Fox said its 12 owned stations would carry the broadcast but that it was unsure how many of its 193 primary affiliates would also pick it up.


Disney to launch Family.com

Disney Online, making its entry into the increasingly crowded family online arena, says it will launch a new Web site called Family.com. No date was cited for launch but Disney Interactive spokeswoman Amy Malsin told Media Daily it would be "within several months."


Realtors Wired

The National Association of Realtors The site will combine a private, secure network with the Web. Subscribing realtors will be able to update listings and receive information services, while the general public can use the Web to access real estate listings nationwide. More than 160,000 homes are scheduled to be listed in Monday's launch, while 100,000 additional homes are scheduled for the Web shopping block before the end of the month.


Netscape Launches `Personal Workspace'

Designed to provide users with everything they need to be ultra efficient on the Web, Personal Workspace uses Sun Microsystems' Java script stored in the ``cookie'' area of the Navigator client to deliver users such tools as personalized information services, custom bookmarks, notepads, dictionaries and thesauruses.


Peter Krasilovsky, predicts a 300 percent jump..
..in the number of online subscribers outside of the U.S. - from nearly 7 million users in 1995 to 20.8 million by the end of the century. Krasilovsky says most of the new members will come from Europe and Japan, which together represent 92 percent of the international online market.

Study Sees A $200 Billion Biz In Client/ Server Sales

Research firm Input said Internet browsers and World Wide Web servers will push worldwide client/server software sales to $200 billion by the year 2000. Mountain View, Calif.-based Input said the market is growing at a 22 percent annual clip.

U.S. client/server sales are growing 22 percent annually from almost $80 billion in 1995. The U.S. market will grow from $31 billion to $73 billion over the next five years, while expansion in the Pacific Rim, Latin American and Eastern Europe markets will provide significant new opportunities for companies providing tools to the 'Net.
